The HCF No‑Gap GLA:D® Knees Program is designed to help HCF better understand member experiences, outcomes and preferences when participating in evidence‑based treatment programs such as the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis.

By collecting information and feedback from eligible members, HCF can learn how these programs support our members’ health and wellbeing. This will help us make funding decisions which will serve our members best in the future.

By participating in the HCF No‑Gap GLA:D® Knees Program, eligible members can complete the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis and be fully reimbursed for treatment costs (up to contracted fees with registered providers). To access the no-gap experience, participants are required to complete the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis in full and provide information and feedback to HCF about their experience through a series of member feedback surveys.

To be eligible for the HCF No-Gap GLA:D® Knees Program you must:

  • meet the clinical eligibility criteria for the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis, including:

    • being over 18 years old
    • having a diagnosis of symptomatic knee osteoarthritis that may require joint replacement surgery in the upcoming few years, as assessed by an orthopaedic surgeon, general practitioner or physiotherapist.
  • hold HCF hospital cover for a minimum of 12 months and hospital cover for joint replacement surgery for a minimum of 2 months (excluding Overseas Visitors Health Cover) and be up to date with your premiums
  • not had a total or partial knee replacement surgery on the knee being treated in this program
  • not have participated in the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis in the previous 2 years 
  • be willing and able to complete the member feedback surveys.

They mustn’t have participated in the GLA:D® Program for Osteoarthritis in the previous 2 years and be willing and able to complete the member feedback surveys. Clinical eligibility criteria apply.
