Your hospital stay

You’ll probably be allowed to go home once you’ve recovered from the sedation or anaesthetic. Sometimes the surgeon will decide to keep you in for observation for a day or two. As you’re not allowed to drive, you’ll need someone to drive you home.

At home

Unless you’ve had a ligament reconstruction, you should be able to return to most physical activities after 6–8 weeks.

EXERCISE AND MONITORING

Understanding your rehab options will help you play a proactive role in your recovery.
