HCF Nowra encourages locals to put their health first with free heart health checks
Perth, 9 March, 2017 – HCF, Australia’s leading not-for-profit health fund, is enhancing its presence in Western Australia with the opening of it first three health insurance kiosks in Perth.
With over 46,000 members currently in Western Australia, HCF has identified the state as a key market for expansion and is committed to providing branch services to its Western Australian members.
The opening of kiosks in Karrinyup, Booragoon and Cannington will provide local communities with a broad range of health insurance products and services to empower members to take control of their health.
Each of the new branches feature the HCF Health Check Station, where anyone can take a free health check in under five minutes. The test will give an assessment of their:
- Blood pressure and heart rate: helping to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease – the number one killer in Australia*
- Weight, BMI and body fat percentage: enabling ongoing tracking, a vital part of managing health and weight loss goals
Shaun Larkin, HCF Managing Director, says, “Our aim is to help our members across Australia improve their health, which is why we saw an opportunity to increase our presence in Western Australia and offer up free health checks. We already have a significant number of members across the state, and now we are able to extend our high-quality services to more people to enhance their member experience”.
