You’ll be taken to the recovery area.
Nurses will monitor your breathing and vital signs. You may have a mask or small tubes in your nostrils giving you extra oxygen.
You may feel stinging or burning in the leg but it shouldn’t be too painful.
If you’ve had a general anaesthesia, you may have nausea, vomiting and/or a sore throat. You’ll have to wait until any anaesthetic or sedation has worn off before you can go home and you’ll need someone to take you home, as you’ll be unable to drive.
