HCF RECOGNISED AS A LEADER IN CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE
Sydney, 27 October, 2016 – HCF, leading not-for-profit health fund, has been recognised for its outstanding customer service for the fifth consecutive year—winning the national Service Excellence award in the Not-for-Profit category at the 2016 Australian Service Excellence Awards (ASEA).
The award was presented to HCF at the ASEA gala dinner last night in Melbourne, co-hosted by TV presenter Catriona Rowntree and Michael Pope. To top the Not-for-Profit category Australia-wide is testament to HCF’s strong ethos of putting its members’ health first.
The Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) judges the customer service capabilities of companies across all industries in both the public and private sectors. From this rigorous analysis, HCF was found to demonstrate superior standards of customer service compared to the rest of Australia's large businesses in the category.
HCF’s Managing Director, Shaun Larkin, said of the award win: “At HCF, we have a long tradition of care for our members, putting them at the heart of everything we do. We build trusted long-term relationships to create an experience that is truly valued.”
“To be acknowledged for our commitment to our members, is a real honour.”
In addition to winning the national Service Excellence award, HCF was also an ASEA finalist for the categories of Large Organisation, Excellence in a Contact Centre, Customer Service Project of the Year, and Customer Service Professional of the Year.
The ASEA achievement follows HCF winning the International Large Business Award from the Customer Service Institute of America in March, and recently receiving the highest national honour in the CANSTAR awards for outstanding value health insurance.
CANSTAR’s 2016 Health Insurance Star Ratings – the largest ever undertaken by CANSTAR in health insurance - assessed the price and features of 628 health insurance products from 24 insurers and recognised HCF as providing outstanding value to customers Australia-wide.
