HCF receives inaugural global "Innovator of the Year" award for 2014 by ReadSoft Sweden
Sydney, 23 May 2014 - Australia’s largest not-for-profit health insurer, HCF, has been named the inaugural "Innovator of the Year" for 2014 by ReadSoft, a global leader in document process automation.
HCF was one of three exceptional companies globally to receive the accolade for innovation in operational and/or business practices using ReadSoft technology. The award recognised HCF’s achievements in continuous improvement of its claims invoice capture and processing solution, over many years, achieved through the extended use of capture automation technology.
HCF’s Chief Information Officer, Patrick Shearman, said of the award win, “We are very pleased to have been named "Innovator of the Year" by a global leader in document process automation. HCF strives to be a leader in innovation for the benefit of our members and this accolade is a reaffirmation that our business practices are indeed at the forefront of our industry.”
The winners were chosen by an expert panel of judges comprised of ReadSoft executives and awarded by Lars Appelstål, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, who founded and pioneered the development of ReadSoft capture solutions.
An effective document capture system can significantly reduce the amount of time spent scanning and capturing content, leading to more streamlined processes and generating business efficiencies. ReadSoft is delighted to support HCF's continuous improvement of their document capture process," said Frank Volckmar, MD ReadSoft Oceania. “We are proud to be working with such a forward thinking organisation. We look forward to working with HCF to bring further innovative solutions to the Australian market.”
