A member of the hospital staff will take you to the operating theatre and make you comfortable.
Your anaesthetist will insert an intravenous cannula into a vein for the administration of anaesthetic, fluid and other drugs. You’ll be unconscious or heavily sedated for your procedure.
The surgery may be performed as a keyhole procedure or as open surgery.

After surgery, your wound/s will be closed with stitches, closure strips or staples.
