You’ll be admitted to hospital on the day of your surgery. Depending on the extent of your surgery, you may go home the same day, or you may spend several days in hospital.
If you’re having general anaesthetic you’ll need to fast for 6 hours prior. You may have to fill out a consent form if you haven’t done this already.
