“At HCF, we're here to support our members when it matters most,” said Lorraine Thomas, Chief Operating Officer at HCF. “For those affected by the floods, we’re offering financial relief measures, including premium waivers and temporary suspensions of private health cover^, so they can focus on rebuilding their lives.”

HCF members (including those on RT Health branded products) who have been impacted by the floods may be eligible for a premium waiver for up to three months to alleviate immediate financial pressure or a temporary suspension of their health cover for up to two years^, noting members cannot claim during this period. HCF Life members are also eligible for premium waivers of up to three months.

Recognising the toll that natural disasters can have, HCF is also offering eligible members a free HealthyMinds Check-in^^, providing confidential access to registered psychologists through PSYCH2U. This service includes specially trained psychologists for teens aged 12 – 17. Members can call 1 300 472 866 or visit hcf.com.au/mental-support to learn more and book an appointment.
