Queensland, 21 February, 2017 – HCF, Australia’s leading not-for-profit health fund is expanding its network in Queensland, with the launch of three new health insurance kiosks in Townsville, Cairns and Maroochydore.

The opening of the HCF kiosks will provide the local community with a broad range of health insurance products and services to empower members to take control of their health.

With over 172,000 members in Queensland, HCF has identified an opportunity to further increase presence in these local communities as part of its commitment to helping members improve their health journey.

This year, HCF is celebrating 85 years as one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit health insurers, with a vision to make health care affordable, understandable, high quality and customer centric.

National health data highlights almost a fifth of Queensland residents are daily smokers (16.1%)*, versus the national average of 14.5%**. Only 6.1% of Queenslanders met the recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables and just over half (56.1%) exercised sufficiently in 2014-15*.

HCF has industry-leading no gap schemes and offers preventive health and chronic disease management programs, discounts on health and fitness services and a suite of free online resources including apps Get Fitter, Be Happier and Quit Smoking. Free branch services are also available for members with extras, such as heart health checks offered in partnership with Victor Chang.

HCF currently has branch services in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with the three new kiosks opened across Queensland this month in Townsville, Cairns and Maroochydore.
