HCF TEA TREE PLAZA UPGRADES TO RETAIL BRANCH TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS

TEA TREE PLAZA, 19 January, 2018 – Following strong support from the local community, HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund has announced that its HCF Tea Tree Plaza kiosk has reopened as a retail branch within Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, the first HCF branch nationwide to feature HCF’s refreshed branch design.

HCF Tea Tree Plaza will be looking after locals’ health as they kick start the New Year with the permanent addition of a HCF Health Check Station in the branch. The station, available for use by all local residents – not just HCF members - provides free health checks in under five minutes, with a summary of:

  • Blood pressure and heart rate: helping to reduce risk of coronary heart disease – the number one killer in Australia[1].
  • Weight, BMI and body fat percentage: enabling ongoing tracking, a vital part of managing health and weight loss goals.

HCF services over 27,000 members in the greater Adelaide area, and over 66,000 members in South Australia. The expansion in the Tea Tree Plaza community complements HCF’s existing Marion and Adelaide CBD branches.

As the new branch opens up to the community, Leanne Burns, HCF Tea Tree Plaza Branch Manager is urging local residents to be proactive about their health by making positive lifestyle changes.

“As Australia’s largest not for profit health fund, we encourage locals to make healthy lifestyle choices. The addition of the HCF Health Check Station in our new branch will enable members and non-members alike to be proactive about their health choices, with the HCF Health Check Station assisting with detection of risk factors for preventable health conditions.

“We’ve remained committed to championing the health of local members since opening the Tea Tree Plaza kiosk in early 2016, and we’re glad to see that we’re having an impact in the community, having now outgrown the original HCF Tea Tree Plaza kiosk. We look forward to welcoming the community into our new HCF branch.”

The new branch design takes into account feedback from HCF members looking for increased privacy for conversations about their health needs without compromising on the open look and feel of the branch. The branch is contemporary and fresh with a purposeful design, featuring natural timbers, a neutral palette and greenery to help to reinforce the feeling of health and wellness. Customers can make the most of a new concierge service to assist with directing their enquiries as well as receiving bottled water on arrival to encourage healthy hydration.
