Value of HCF Hospital policies backed by CHOICE in annual “Insurance check-up” review

Sydney, 25 July 2017 – HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, has received recommendations across Australia for its high-quality Basic Hospital and Premium Hospital products, as revealed in the latest independent review by consumer advocacy group CHOICE.

For the second consecutive year, HCF Basic Hospital has secured CHOICE’s recommendation across the majority of Australia. Building on 2016 recognition, HCF Premium Hospital (no excess) has this year also received a CHOICE recommendation in nearly every state.

Further, HCF Premium Hospital (with excess) has been recommended by CHOICE in South Australia for a second consecutive year.

The annual investigation released by CHOICE selects policies in each category that provide the best value for money. The review takes into account the premium, treatments covered and out-of-pocket costs.
