To make tax time simpler, it’s now even easier to read and use your tax statement.
The important points to look for are:
- the premiums you paid in the 2019–20 financial year
- your part of any Australian Government rebate on your premium
- the adults covered by the policy
- the number of days you had the right private hospital cover (if it’s less than 366 you may need to pay the Medicare Levy Surcharge).

You might find other important information in the email or letter we send you, like who’s covered on your policy. But keep in mind, you won’t need this to complete your tax return – it’s only for your records.
What’s an Annual Policy Summary?
